The Pivot engineers aimed to bring in a new generation of downhill riding when they designed the Phoenix 29. The Phoenix 29 Pro Saint is nothing short of a world class downhill bike. This bike allowed the Pivot Factory Racing Team to push their limits like never before. These world class professional riders tested multiple iterations of the Phoenix 29 and relayed their feedback to the engineering team until the perfect bike stood before them. With the nimble feel of a 27.5 inch wheel bike but the speed of 29-inch wheels, this downhill machine is unstoppable on the trail. Pivot claims the Phoenix 29 to simply be the fastest and most capable downhill bike on the World Cup circuit.
To deal with the rough obstacles that an elite downhill rider comes across on a daily basis, the Phoenix 29 Pro Saint is equipped with a Fox Float Factory X2 suspension. This provides a solid 190mm of rear travel so discomfort will never set in. This version also comes complete with a Fox Factory 40 fork which is 58mm offset. It adds 203mm of travel at the front to prepare you for the difficult obstacles on a downhill ride. The Pro Saint version is also equipped with a Shimano Saint 10-speed groupset which is optimized for downhill performance.
The frame of the Pivot Phoenix 29 is made entirely of carbon fiber to keep it lightweight and fast. The geometry of the frame is specifically designed to accommodate everything a downhill rider could possibly want. The chainstays are very short at just 17 inches, making the bike very easy to flick and move around. This helps make quick work of the most technical sections and a ton of fun in the bike park. Even through the tightest section of woods, you will feel completely in control at high speeds on your Phoenix. The Pivot Phoenix 29 is the ultimate bike for the rider who wants to bomb hills and bounce around the most technical terrain.
